Three Purple Hippos

 What else is there to say?.......Yup, three purple hippos.

Oh Canada!!...Oh yes I did!!!!

I found this dresser in the second hand store..bought it for $25...not bad. I needed a small dresser for my son's room and this one caught my eye and the price was right. Notice the lovely patina and no legs....YUCK!!

Anyhow, got out my paint brushes and went at it and I must say I am very happy with the results. The whole thing is handpainted by me and my son loves it. I might have to keep this one even after he moves out(in a few years) it should age really well. Let me know what you think.

Well it's done...and let's just say I'm ready to move on to my next project.

Work In Progress II

I put two pictures in this post because I don't think the first one showed much progress. It felt like I had worked on it for awhile but it didn't represent the work I had put into it. Sometimes I feel like I've been painting forever but my artwork doesn't seem to echo the effort some days.

It's coming along.....I can see all kinds of things I don't like..rats!! This could take a little more time than I had planned. It's one of the largest pieces of art I've done...16" x 12". Okay back at it....I'll probably post one more, then the finished piece...this could take awhile!!! LOL
